Parx Casino Already Making Preparations For Online Gambling
With the launch of a new mobile app, Parx Casino seems to be preparing even further for a possible online gambling bill to pass in the near future.

The app, called Play4Fun, is powered by mobile software provider JOINGO and allows Parx customers to play in play chip games offered on the casino’s Play4Fun network.

“We are very pleased to supply mobile concierge and marketing functionality to Williams Interactive to bring Parx Casino mobile free-play gaming,” said Seamus McGill, President at JOINGO. “Our customers are seeing immediate results when using JOINGO to power their mobile marketing and engagement strategies. We believe that Parx Casino will quickly experience this same success.”

In July, the popular casino inked a deal with software maker GameAccount to set up the online “gaming-as-entertainment” environment. When the announcement was made, GameAccount assured that in the event that iGaming legislation was passed, Keystone State operators could easily make the switch to real money gaming.

Earlier this year, Parx chairman Bob Green seemed lukewarm about the idea of Internet gambling regulation. But with the casino’s recent partnerships, many believe that Parx has overcome its reservations and is looking to position itself as best it can to take advantage of any iGaming law.

Getting geolocation right before real money launch

One technology provided by the JOINGO software which would be of specific interest to US online gaming operators is it refined geolocation feature set. According to the press release, the app can create Geo fences and send ultra-targeted push notifications to customers in specific locations.

Confirming the location of players has been one of the issues which has hampered the success of online gaming software in Nevada, and especially in populous New Jersey. Customers have complained of being denied access to gambling sites in those states due to inaccuracies in geolocation software.

Partnering early on with JOINGO and GameAccount could allow Parx to tweak and refine the software to launch real money gaming on day one.
